Notification problems
Browser notification problems in Windows
Webphone notifications may not be displayed when the browser settings for notifications are turned off in Windows. You can check this by going to the settings via the Windows icon in the lower left corner of your screen and then click on the gear icon (the settings).
Then click on System, as shown in the image below.
In the menu on the left, click on “Notifications and actions” and the page below will be displayed. Below the heading “Notifications” it is important that “Get notifications from apps and other senders” is turned on. In the example below you can see what this looks like.
Further down this page, under the heading “Get notifications from these senders” you will see the different applications that send notifications. Make sure Google Chrome is turned on here, as in the example below.
Click on Google Chrome to turn on the notifications for it, as you can see below. Also check the boxes below the two images: “Show notification banners” and “Show notifications in action center”.
Now everything is in place to show the notifications from the Webphone in the browser.
Browser exclusion in Mac
Webphone notifications may not be displayed if the browser when notifications are turned off in System Preferences. Check this by going to System Preferences via the Apple icon at the top left of your screen, or by using the key combination command + space after which you type in System Preferences. When in System Preferences, choose Notifications as shown in the image below.
Next, search for the right browser in the left-hand bar, in this case Google Chrome. When you click on it, you will see the “Allow Notifications” button. Make sure this button is on (blue) so that sending notifications is allowed.
Now everything is in place to show the notifications from the Webphone in the browser.
Note: it may be that a browser is listed twice, as you can see with Google Chrome in the example above. Make sure that in both, the notifications are allowed!
